Vanta House
A video-first content studio in North East, Pennsylvania, that turns one long-form film a month into a full system of content for its clients. I support content strategy, social campaigns and SEO across client accounts, and work alongside the team on shoots and video production.
Approach
Most of this is event work: long days on a festival street or a tournament floor, close to the people and the cards.
The personal collections are where the slower pictures live: a gorge in October, a cat in window light, fungi on a fallen log.
From the journal: photographing the MetaZoo $10,000 tournament, and where to take senior pictures in Erie County.
Collections
101 photographs by Dorian Bailey in seven collections

Personal
I
Legends
The MetaZoo $10,000 cash tournament: two days of play under convention-hall lights, the prize cards on their easels, players at the tables, the commentary desk, and the whole field together for one last photograph.
II
Mothman Festival
MetaZoo TCG’s booth on the festival street: players, pulls and playmats, and a few people dressed for the occasion.
III
Green Eyes
A day of cryptids, costumes and card tables at a festival named for the battlefield legend of Ole’ Green Eyes.
IV
Letchworth
The Genesee River gorge in early autumn: high falls, a railroad bridge, a passing rainbow, and the friends on the trail.
V
North East
Home: Halloween porches after dark, the park in full color, and the Wine Fest run through town.
VI
Creatures
Cats in window light, a poodle at the water bowl, horses, goats, and one woolly bear crossing the leaves.
VII
Studies
Close looks at small things: fungi on fallen wood, asters, a weed in shale, and an eye.
